What is Pelago?
Pelago is a Web3 payment gateway powered by PolyFlow, enabling merchants to accept cryptocurrency payments with low fees and instant settlement.
What networks does Pelago support?
Currently: Stellar, Ethereum, and Polygon. Arbitrum and Solana coming soon.
What cryptocurrencies can I accept?
USDC, USDT, and DAI on supported networks.
Integration
How long does integration take?
Most integrations can be completed in under an hour using our SDKs. E-commerce plugins (Shopify, WooCommerce) can be set up in minutes.
Do I need blockchain knowledge?
No. Our API and SDKs abstract the blockchain complexity. You work with familiar concepts like payments and webhooks.
Is there a sandbox environment?
Yes. Use test API keys (prefixed with test_) to test without real funds.
Fees & Settlement
What are the fees?
- Batch settlement: 0.1%
- Instant settlement: 0.5%
- No monthly fees, no setup fees
How fast is settlement?
- Instant: < 1 minute
- Batch: 15-30 minutes (default)
- Scheduled: Daily/weekly
Do I need to hold cryptocurrency?
No. Payments go directly to your wallet. You can use any compatible wallet.
Security
Is Pelago safe?
Yes. We use:
- TLS 1.3 encryption
- Smart contract audits (Trail of Bits, Certik, OpenZeppelin)
- Multi-sig controls
- Bug bounty program
How do refunds work?
Refunds are initiated via API and processed on-chain. Funds return to the customer's original wallet.
Compliance
Does Pelago require KYC?
Basic transactions require no KYC. Higher limits require verification:
- Level 1: Email + Phone ($1,000/day)
- Level 2: ID Document ($10,000/day)
- Level 3: Business KYC (Unlimited)
Is Pelago compliant?
We maintain SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS Level 1, and GDPR compliance.
